A small town situated in the district of Satara, a western Indian state in Maharashtra, Phaltan is a well irrigated area with rich fertile soil that has been a livelihood to many generations of farming community in our country. Traditional crops such as Red &Yellow Onions, Sugarcanes, Pomegranates and Corns are all grown on these lands but somehow, the farmers’ community was never satisfied. They always strived to do something which was, as we say, “Out-Of-Crop”. They wanted to experiment by growing newer crops for new markets such as Jalapeños, Gherkins and White Onions. Kuroli Foods is helping these farmers grow and expand their
produce.
